Hey-hey-hey, Happy Leap Day!

A special day and the end of a special month – Black History recognition started as a week-long celebration in 1926, in February to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglas.  Gerald Ford made it a month-long affair in 1976 and while it’s a small gesture, it’s important because it tells a group of people who are still fighting for equality that they belong.  And that’s nice.

And niiiiicccce are the artists featured in this issue!  Each representing powerful messages of understanding and unity in their own musically unique ways.  Talent extraordinaire awaits you!  Keep reading, and enjoy!
