Celebrating Another Year
With this August issue, PerformingLiveRevue celebrates another anniversary—and another year of introducing exceptional artists, voices and stories to the performing arts community.
PerformingLiveRevue was created with a simple goal: to serve the arts community by providing a venue for multicultural artists to be seen and discovered, and to give presenters a resource for finding compelling talent and programming they might not otherwise encounter. That mission continues with this and every issue.
Inside, you’ll meet artists working across disciplines and telling stories from distinctly different perspectives—among them playwrights and theatermakers Goldie E. Patrick and a.k. payne, who have upcoming work with tickets ‘on sale now,’ and Tony Award-nominated actor and multidisciplinary artist Daniel J. Watts who, continuously finds new ways to communicate. Different voices, different experiences and different approaches to the stage, but each demonstrating the extraordinary breadth of talent working in the performing arts today.
Thank you to the artists who have shared their work with us, and to the presenters, programmers and industry professionals who continue to read, discover and support them. Your support means more than you know.
So here’s to another year of discovery—and to the artists still waiting to be discovered!
