Celebrating Music’s History

As we celebrate the new year, programers are already looking ahead for quality projects to fill their stages and satisfy eager audiences. Reflecting on the past while looking forward to the future is the theme for this Black History Month edition of PerformingLiveRevue.

For your consideration, this issue’s featured artists pay tribute to the influential and pioneering forefathers (and foremothers!) who paved the way for today’s modern music.  Focusing on the great jazz eras, these artists have ignited stages in the United States, Europe and Mexico proving, once again, that music is indeed the universal, multicultural language. Enjoy!
