Aneesa Strings is a bassist, vocalist, songwriter and composer from Oakland, California. She began playing professionally and recorded her first jazz album at just 13 years old. Not to be outdone by her own great accomplishments, the rising star released her first solo album in college, produced by none other than Patrice Rushen in collaboration with SFJAZZ. Blending contemporary classical music, jazz, Neo-Soul, and R&B into a hybrid sound all her own, Ms. Strings performs on the West Coast and is looking to conquer the world! Catch her this summer at the San Jose Summer Jazz Fest!
