Building Connections
Del Sol began in New Mexico before quickly finding a home in San Francisco, a city that has long been a magnet for freethinking artists who welcome a different vantage-point.
With an idea to create a string quartet that would build connections by sharing the energy of exploration, Del Sol taps into the zeitgeist of community in the local Bay Area, and all over the country, with performances from Boonville Grange Hall to Brooklyn Academy of Music, Library of Congress, or the Singapore International Arts Festival.
The ensemble are deeply committed to education and offer a variety of activities for all ages, from short residencies at institutions, master classes, quartet programs, lectures, concerts, coaching and collaborations with festivals, universities, and schools across the country.
