From writing his first verse at age 8, and scoring it a few years later with a mix of Beastie Boys and Beethoven, Thee Phantom has been redefining what’s possible in music. The Illharmonic Orchestra has made history as the first hip-hop group to perform at the Kimmel Center backed by the Philadelphia Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, have sold out The Kennedy Center, and in 2015 became just the third hip-hop act to headline Carnegie Hall. Now performing globally with 40-50-piece ensembles, Phantom & Phoenix are also producing a film project that showcases their story, their tour, and uplifts local musicians along the way.
