Tradition Elevated to the Concert Stage
Few ensembles have shaped a genre’s trajectory as profoundly as Mariachi Los Camperos. Founded in 1961 by visionary musician Nati Cano, the group transformed mariachi from cantinas to concert halls — becoming the first mariachi ensemble to perform at Carnegie Hall and setting a new artistic standard in the United States.
Today, under the direction of Jesus Chuy Guzman, Los Camperos continues that legacy with Grammy-winning recordings and internationally acclaimed performances. Their collaborations span generations of celebrated Latin artists, and their PBS and White House appearances underscore their cultural significance.
Rooted in tradition yet staged with concert-hall sophistication, Mariachi Los Camperos delivers performances rich in artistry, heritage, and unmistakable musical passion.
