There have been a lot of bands that are basically rock bands with a rapper, but none have integrated the neo-soul and gospel sound into their music. There have also been many bands that have that soul vibe but lack the energy and aggressiveness the rock guitar brings. XPresidents is a “genre-defying band that combines elements of hip hop, hard rock, neo soul, funk, reggae and gospel.” Believing rules are limitations placed upon you by others for their own often questionable reasons, XPresidents believe in creative freedom, with each band member expressing themselves individually and collectively to create their impressive and authentic sound. As they often say, “we prefer to let the music do the talking!”
