TUAREG – SAHARA DESERT
With a mission to fully assume their Tuareg identity, Tamikrest came together from four friends hailing from different regions (Mali, Niger, Algeria, France), embracing rebel Ishumar music as a means of expressing their identities. With their musical roots in Ishumar Rock or Tuareg Blues, Tamikrest also borrow from various international influences and neighboring cultures.
Through the message of their songs, Tamikrest want to make Tamasheq poetry and culture accessible to inhabitants of a world larger than immensity of the Saharian desert. Moody and groovy, the sounds are incredible and the desert music mood divine!
