The Incredible Instrument
When vocal prowess elicits emotions, you know you’re in the presence of greatness. Soprano Manna K Jones has thrilled audiences abroad and at home in a variety of operatic and classical title-roles including a Broadway debut in “Rocktopia, a Classical Revolution”, but despite all these wonderful roles, Manna finds her most rewarding work to be exposing audiences to the richness of African-American culture through the heroes and heroines of Black history. In voicing the stories and the history of African-American composers, audiences can participate in the belief that artists are agents of humanity, change and healing.
